The Republic of San Marino established official relations with Indonesia on 26 September 2011. On 25 March 2013, the Government of the Republic of San Marino and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia signed an agreement on the exchange of information on tax matters. On 18 December 2014, H.E. Germano Valle Barbero, the first Ambassador of San Marino to Indonesia, presented his credentials to H.E. Joko Widodo, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, at the State Palace.
